How slot claims and backup tutors work

Claim a student's requested hour, or offer to stand by as a backup — here is how the queue works.

For students

Add the hours you want lessons on the weekly grid, with your budget. Tutors see them on the timetable and in their leads.

1. Tutors claim your slot (with a price and a message) or offer to be a backup.
2. You accept one tutor. Everyone else becomes a ranked backup automatically.
3. If your tutor has to cancel, backup #1 takes over — you are told straight away.

For tutors

Publish your free hours with your rate. Students request them or join the waitlist. Accept one request; the others wait in order.

Tip: a short, specific message wins more claims than a long generic one.
